Experience Healing Power With the Female Group Neha! at Pohoda

The vocal group Neha! is made up of six women who joined forces to bring beauty, gentleness, and compassion into the world through music, believing that tenderness (“neha” in Slovak) is essential for society. Their primary instrument is the voice, with which they create rich harmonies of traditional songs from Slovakia, Eastern Europe, and many other corners of the world. Radical tenderness awaits you on Friday at Pohoda. → read more

Kagran to Close Out Saturday’s Programme at Pohoda’s Garage

Kagran to Close Out Saturday’s Programme at Pohoda’s Garage

“The only band on Saturday’s Garage programme that started out as a bedroom project. A straightforward sound that moves from indie through punk to shoegaze, made for the older and more seasoned listeners. I believe Kagran could one day be our answer to the highly listenable guitar bands that tour stages around the world,” concludes Ľubo Šoška, curator of Saturday’s programme at Pohoda’s Garage.  → read more

Košice’s Industrial-Punk Band FARA on Saturday at Pohoda’s Garage

Košice’s Industrial-Punk Band FARA on Saturday at Pohoda’s Garage

“One of my favourite local bands. FARA is pure darkness channelled straight from the post-industrial era, and if you feel like doing anything after their concert, it certainly won’t be running through a meadow with flowers in your hair. You’re more likely to sit down with a bottle of whatever might help you figure out where we went wrong. A perfect pick for 3 a.m. at the end of a great festival — a kind of an adaptation before Monday,” says Ľubo Šoška, curator of Saturday’s programme at Pohoda’s Garage.  → read more

Saturday at Pohoda Will Bring the Fantastic XCES to the Garage

Saturday at Pohoda Will Bring the Fantastic XCES to the Garage

“We had XCES on the Garage lineup last year already, and they’re one of only two acts we’ve decided to bring back. Of the original line-up, only Tomo Michalčák remains — the head, soul, singer, guitarist, and more behind this brilliant project. He’s now joined by Miloš Bulík and Ľuboš Ežo Ambrozai. What hasn’t changed is the fusion of live instruments with punchy electronics and amazingly delivered punk electronic music. For their Garage set, the guys are preparing an even harder-hitting show than usual, so neck stretching is strongly advised,” says Ľubo Šoška, curator of Saturday’s programme at Pohoda’s Garage. → read more

Czech Four-Piece Post-prog Band Neue Welt Live on Saturday at Pohoda’s Garage

Czech Four-Piece Post-prog Band Neue Welt Live on Saturday at Pohoda’s Garage

“A band that definitely has what it takes to play the big stage one day. They’ve had a firm spot in my personal playlist (not that I’m claiming that’s a mark of quality) for the past two years, and their latest album completely floored me again. Melancholy and delicate soundscapes suddenly erupt into explosive cacophony, only to morph into something I didn’t even know I wanted. And they’ll do all that within a single track that can easily stretch to ten minutes. It’s a concert I definitely won’t be missing,” says Ľubo Šoška, curator of Saturday’s programme at Pohoda’s Garage. → read more
