Black Country, New Road released their debut album

Black Country, New Road released their debut album called For the First Time today. The British newspaper The Times desribes them as the most exciting new band of 2021 and compares their sound klezmer band who got booked to play a rave by mistake or as an anarchic take on contemporary classical. Lucke Cartegle from NME gave the highest possible rating to the album, emphasizing that although it's just six tracks long, the album is bursting with ideas. At the end of the review, he adds: “Their peak may be years away yet, but this is still some of the most exciting music you’ll hear until then; I’m not sure what more you could ask of a debut." → read more

Fulu Miziki at Pohoda 2021

Fulu Miziki at Pohoda 2021

We discovered the band Fulu Miziki from Kinshasa just a few days before Pohoda in the Air and immediately included them in the festival line-up. We quickly fell for their ability to find inspiration in a dump and transform it into a unique artistic statement. Following their great set, it was crystal clear to us that we want to see them also at the Trenčín airport as soon as possible. And so, Fulu Miziki are confirmed for Pohoda 2021. → read more

Eurosonic Noorderslag 2021 begins

The Eurosonic Noorderslag 2021 festival starts today. At this time in past years, we were already travelling by bus to Groningen in the Netherlands; the facilities for the large Slovak team were the cabins on common ships. Due to the current situation, we will only go to see concerts in the virtual space, yet again there will be quite some things to discover. The largest European showcase and conference will bring more than 180 concerts and panels in its on-line version. The line-up is extremely varied, so we would like to ask you to send us suggestions on who to go to see. → read more

We have new colleagues

We have new colleagues

Recently, there have been several changes in the Pohoda team. Some time ago, we were joined by long-term collaborator Barbora Bodnárová, who is in charge of contracts with artists and hospitality, and a former part-time worker of many years and later an important member of the external team, Ondro Poláček, joined the production. A completely new member of our office staff is Gabriel Sebő, who is in charge of merch, marketing, and related activities. Tickets, merch and other orders are processed for you in Svätý Jur even these days by Natália Kaščáková. All of folks above show a huge passion at work and table football as well, and hopefully you will meet them very soon at concerts and other events by Pohoda ;) → read more
