“Hallo, Lucky boy...” Pohoda 2018 will hear also the tunes from films such as Loners, In The Shadow, The Tiger Theory, Grandhotel, Women in Temptation, Yuma, One Hand Canʼt Clap, and Vaclav. The next performer at our festival is the superband JAN P. MUCHOW & THE ANTAGONISTS that is grouped around the founder of the cult band Ecstasy of Saint Theresa, a sought-after producer, and one of the most appreciated Czech composers of film music, Jan P. Muchow. The audiovisual live concert performance of the scenic music and songs from his best-known films will be performed on stage by his colleagues who were involved in the individual projects, and the music will be accompanied by a large-scale projection.  → read more

Pohoda strengthens its international reputation appearing in another batch of top festival lists put together by renowned media. British music portal Gigwise, Belgian culture magazine Humo, German music portal Tonspion list our festival in their top picks and the French Mixmag published an article named “5 Reasons Why Pohoda Is One of the Best Festivals in Europe”. This is happening just a few weeks after Pohoda made it to the lists revealed by dailies The Guardian, The Telegraph and Metro and appeared in the report by British music portal The 405. Thanks to Petr Marek’s dance moves and the fact that he “likes cooking”, Midi Lidi are extremely popular in our office. Each year, our female colleagues from the agency give an ultimatum to us saying they will not go to the airport without Midi Lidi. Together with the rest of the agency, they appreciate the art of staying on top of things this five-member trio show in their music. This affection is obviously mutual: As Prokop Holoubek told magazine Frontman: “To spend an entire weekend at the festival is not something I usually do. In fact, there are only two exceptions where I’m willing to do this. The first one is Beseda u Bigbítu and the second one is Pohoda in Trenčín. When we play there or I take care of one of my bands there, I like to stay there for the whole event. Viber has teamed up with Pohoda festival to announce its first partnership in Slovakia. Pohoda festival has set up its own public account, the Pohoda Festival Official Community, within the messaging app as its new channel to communicate with fans and provide them with rich and interesting content. The beloved music festival has started the communication with the Community by running a photo competition to win great prizes, amongst them also tickets to the festival. The competition drew a lot of interest with hundreds of people submitting their best photos from Pohoda Festival last year and the Community is picking up new fans every day. Sisters Kery and Ela Kisová performed at Pohoda already in 2015. Since then, they have debuted with the album “Presence” that was included by the portal NOIZZ among the seven best albums of the summer of 2016 (along with M.I.A. and Glass Animals). They have just released the single “No No” for which they made their first feature video. Genius Locci will bring the dream atmosphere of their songs also to Pohoda 2018.   → read more

Košice based band Puding Pani Elvisovej will also play at Pohoda. In 2015 they released their newest album up to now, Tektonická platňa, and last year they recorded a new song called “Pod paplón”. They are currently on an intensive concert tour in Slovakia and Czechia and at 22nd Pohoda you can yet again see why they have three “radioheads” for the best concert band. → read more

Katarzia teamed up with Jonatán Pastirčák to compose music for play Antigone presented by Slovak National Theater. Thanks to this collab, new songs and lyrics depicting life of a contemporary young woman standing against the society came into being. Currently, the duo are working on an eponymous album due out in fall 2018. They will introduce you to some of the music from their upcoming album live at Pohoda 2018. → read more

The band Noisecut conquered the first editions of Radio Head_Awards. After their last concert in 2012, the members of the band considered the existence of Noisecut a closed thing and no one was thinking about a possible reunion. This changed when Rádio_FM asked them to perform at the 10th anniversary of the Radio Head_Awards. The reaction was immediate—why not? If Nora Ibsenová would sing? Since Nora agreed, the performance at the award ceremony became a reality. Shortly after, the band was approached by Michal Kaščák who explored whether they would play at this yearʼs Pohoda. They agreed! The crew will be Losos, Japonec, and M, featuring also singer Nora Ibsenová (Fallgrapp), keyboardist Jakub Tvrdík (Billy Barman), and drummer and percussionist Roman Lauko (Bad Karma Boy). They will play songs that have never been played live, as well as new versions of older songs. → read more
