The Family Park programme includes accompanying activities and various workshops. Children will learn how to get creative with Janko Hraško, how clothes used to be made by our grandparents, and EDUdrama will make room for the kids to “give the life a dry run”. Ecological topics will be included as well: at the knitting workshop, children will get to know how to make bamboo make-up removal pads and recycle worn-out T-shirts, learn a lot about the Slovak nature, and help the whale singer Greta clear the sea. Theatre performances at Pohoda 2019 will also be exceptionally varied. Children can look forward to the Emperor’s new clothes presented by Nové divadlo, the witty-educational production of the Spozavoza Theatre about the life of Nikola Tesla, the appraised puppet play Wilderness from the Odivo group, eco-stories of Braňo Jobus: The Waste Collection Site, interactive Fairy Tales from the Red Sock performed by the Bratislava Puppet Theatre, and Merry Circus School run by CirKus-Kus. → read more
Children have a stage at Pohoda that adults may be envious about. Music, theatre, dance, workshops, and many other activities will be available from morning to evening. This year, you can look forward to both totally news things and established artists as well. Laci Strike and his Street Dance Academy or the energy packed Roma ensemble Savorenge will make kids dance. Brand new songs for children will be introduced by all-star band Toddler Punk, we will listen to our “fixed stars” Children’s folk ensemble Kornička, the orchestra of the Trenčín Primary Art School and the Piarissimo choir; the Recycled Orchestra has prepared a noisy interactive happening on instruments made from waste. The Instax photo zone will be prepared for Pohoda 2019 attenders as well. In two containers you’ll be able to have a number of photos made to remember the festival. Then you can turn the photos into magnets at a scrapbooking table. At the same time, it will be possible to buy films and Instax cameras there. Jazz, hip-hop and world music at Pohoda 2019 will also be represented by the American rapper and producer Akua Naru. She talks about the status of African-American women in US history building on the ideas of people such as Malcolm X or the writer Toni Morrison. → read more

Pohoda will also host the energetic blues-rock band Youniverse. Last year they released their debut called CMYK which was nominated for four awards at the Radio_head awards, specifically for the album of the year, for the debut of the year, and two songs for the single of the year. One of the Britainʼs most successful bands today Bastille will perform their “Still Avoiding Tomorrow Tour” at the Refinery Gallery in Bratislava on 28 May 2019 (today in the evening). Their song Pompeii has more than a billion streams on YouTube and Spotify combined. Their summer piece Happier (feat. DJ Marshmello) had over 100 million streams in just a few weeks. They have been awarded at BRIT Awards and NME Awards; the release of the awaited third studio album Doom Days is expected in the 14th of June 2019. Loyal fans will be able to hear new tracks a bit sooner, though, as the band will play some of them during the tour in European cities. Thanks to Pohoda, the tour includes Slovakia, too.
