“We had XCES on the Garage lineup last year already, and they’re one of only two acts we’ve decided to bring back. Of the original line-up, only Tomo Michalčák remains — the head, soul, singer, guitarist, and more behind this brilliant project. He’s now joined by Miloš Bulík and Ľuboš Ežo Ambrozai. What hasn’t changed is the fusion of live instruments with punchy electronics and amazingly delivered punk electronic music. For their Garage set, the guys are preparing an even harder-hitting show than usual, so neck stretching is strongly advised,” says Ľubo Šoška, curator of Saturday’s programme at Pohoda’s Garage. → read more
“A band that definitely has what it takes to play the big stage one day. They’ve had a firm spot in my personal playlist (not that I’m claiming that’s a mark of quality) for the past two years, and their latest album completely floored me again. Melancholy and delicate soundscapes suddenly erupt into explosive cacophony, only to morph into something I didn’t even know I wanted. And they’ll do all that within a single track that can easily stretch to ten minutes. It’s a concert I definitely won’t be missing,” says Ľubo Šoška, curator of Saturday’s programme at Pohoda’s Garage. → read more
“If you're after a band that truly embodies the meaning of a garage band, this is it. Pure joy in playing and persistence in a world dominated by polished commercial music,” says Denis Bango, curator of Friday’s programme at Pohoda’s Garage. → read more
“Musically, at times it’s like the Dead Kennedys on steroids. But I’m not really a fan of comparing bands to others. So I’ll just say that no Slovak band has radiated this kind of energy in a long time. Organised chaos, coherent mess. Contemporary punk with echoes of the past. Most of the band is made up of Trnava’s most seasoned punk musicians. Their first official recordings are still on the way, two years into their existence. So they’re literally coming straight out of the garage,” says Denis Bango, curator of Friday’s programme at Pohoda’s Garage. → read more

“Producer and rapper. I love that. Like Ike and Flegma, Punkinson hones his flow, and you can tell from his lyrics that he’s not just focused on himself, but he cleverly, sometimes between the lines and sometimes directly, also comments on current events in society. And his production is top-notch. I genuinely think more people need to know him,” says Denis Bango, curator of Friday’s programme at Pohoda’s Garage. → read more
“One of the most intriguing names to appear on genre-blending concerts. A Bones-like aesthetic, with diverse sounds ranging from classic trap and hyperpop to bold experimental excursions. These are the kind of artists that deserve to be heard by the widest possible audience,” says Denis Bango, curator of Friday’s programme at Pohoda’s Garage. → read more
