After sixteen years, Pohoda Festival restores its original name. The best-known festival in Slovakia follows the trend set by big European festivals that gradually stopped being named after their partners. Festival brand Pohoda and beer brand Zlatý Bažant joined forces 14 years ago in order to build a festival of European significance and world-class quality in Slovakia. Right from the start of their cooperation in 2002, they managed to meet their goal and both brands confirmed the leadership position in their respective fields in Slovakia. For this amazing partnership, a big thank you goes to HEINEKEN Slovakia Company and their flagship Zlatý Bažant. After 14 years, we decided to bring our partnership to an end. Eugene Hütz, an immigrant from the Ukraine, founded his band Gogol Bordello in 1999. According to Pitchfork, he created “one of America's most chaotically enthralling live acts.” Their show full of energy mesmerized Pohoda festival-goers in 2006, too. The sold out Bez ladu a skladu & Para tour has officially ended, but the bands are coming to POHODA PARTY at Urban House on 16th December to play together one last concert. Prior to the gig, we're going to announce another batch of artists confirmed for the 20th edition of our festival (at least two big and a few more names). We're about to present the concept of the 2016 campaign and announce an interesting change regarding our partners.
