This year, Pohoda Shop will offer a limited edition of handmade diaries by Remini for the Pohoda year 2016/17. The calendar in diaries begins with the date of current Pohoda and finishes in July next year. Diaries can be bought at the festival in the Remini tent and in the Pohoda shop. The interactive festival application Pohoda 2016 powered by Orange is a very useful tool. It helps you to orientate quickly in the area, arrive everywhere on time, and find your friends quickly under the stage. The “Friends” function will show their current location on the map. The first truck with construction parts for the biggest open-air stages has arrived today. We've placed concrete rings on festival site where we will post photos and posters from previous Pohoda editions later next week. Large-capacity containers and floor for kids' corner have been delivered. Besides pipes, we have enough water in water containers as well. Wooden hut construction works have been completed and the poles of the biggest dance tents are towering over the site. Rasťo has fixed the last year's header from main stage on the airport tower and, starting today, the hard-core team has a new regular member – Maszat.  → read more

Banda is an amazing Slovak world music band performing ethnic music with modern arrangements. After their show, the former WOMEX Festival Director, Gerald Seligman, wrote: “Banda are a group of excellent musicians who’ve figured out how to add contemporary elements to age-old tradition without losing the excitement of the former and the integrity of the latter.” You can move your feet to Banda’s music on Friday, 5 PM, at Nay House of Dance, where they will be playing together with a women’s vocal band Trnki. → read more
