Marina Satti & Fonés at Pohoda 2021

Marina Satti & Fonés bewitched us all at this year's Eurosonic, but we’d discovered her earlier thanks to Potkan, the editor of World Music on Rádio_FM. He's our eyes and ears at world music festivals and discovered Marina at Womex in Tampere. This excellent singer, actress and producer (Berkley graduate) has hits with tens of millions of views on YouTube. NPR, Vice or Huffington Post agree that with her creative work, Marina Satti represents the optimism and hope of the young generation in Greece and around the world. Slovak fans also got to know her thanks to the great set she prepared for the online Pohoda in the Air festival, and in July 2021 she will spread hope and joy live at the Trenčín Airport. Marina Satti & Fonés show at Pohoda 2021 will also happen thanks to our participation in the European Talent Exchange Program (ETEP). → read more

Glass Animals at Pohoda 2020

Glass Animals at Pohoda 2020

Glass Animals were supposed to perform at our festival in 2018, however, they had to cancel the rest of the tour due to drummer Joe Seaward’s serious injury. After a three-year break, the popular British band recorded a new song Tokyo Drifting (with Danzel Curry) in autumn 2019, kindling hope in us as well. Shortly after the New Year, brilliant news arrived from the islands, so after announcing events such as Glastonbury, Coachella or Bonnaroo, the attenders of Pohoda 2020 will get a chance to see the great British band Glass Animals, too. → read more

Trupa Trupa at Pohoda 2020

Trupa Trupa at Pohoda 2020

According to Metro, they are combining post-punk and psych with skill. “The Beatles sing Joy Division oversimplifies them but doesn’t misrepresent them”. According to The Guardian, “the band’s music blends off-kilter melodies, dense instrumentation and lyrical explorations of the darkest side of the human condition”. The Times compares them to Sonic Youth, Radiohead and the Manchester scene in the 80s. According to Mojo, their “gripping and energetic record packs a serious punch”. KEXP highlights “ominous guitars, stern rhythms and haunting melodies” and The Quietus agrees. These quotes sound like a review of the Mercury Prize winning album. In reality, the authors of these reviews are singing Of the Sun’s praises, which is the latest album recorded by the acclaimed Gdansk art-rock band Trupa Trupa.  → read more

Crack Cloud at Pohoda 2020

Pohoda 2020 will also feature the Canadian multimedia art collective Crack Cloud. According to The Guardian, they sound like a mixture of Gang of Four, Fel Kuti and hip-hop while acting as a survival mechanism (or literally as a rehab, if you like) for their members and fans alike. The newspaper alludes to the fact that the collective was founded by artists from a community of social workers dedicated to harm reduction in the infamous district of Vancouver Downtown Eastside.  → read more
