The founders of Pohoda, Michal Kaščák and Mário Michna, will welcome the sun at the festival’s 30th anniversary
The sunrise moments at the 30th edition of Pohoda will carry a special meaning. Two of the festival’s founders — DJ Wychitawacs and Michal Kaščák with his band Bez ladu a skladu joined by the brass orchestra Lucerka — will take care of welcoming the new day at Trenčín Airport.
19. May 2026
From Friday into Saturday morning, the festival grounds will belong to Mario Michna, performing under his DJ alias Wychitawacs. Alongside Michal Kaščák, Mario is one of the key people behind the creation of Pohoda. Over the years, he has appeared at the festival in countless roles — as a dramaturg, stage manager, electrician, organiser, performer, and one of the people shaping the community spirit behind the festival.
Behind the name DJ Wychitawacs stands a long-time promoter and DJ who has been active in electronic music since 2001. Through his agency 21:10 promotion, he organised some of the first club nights and electronic music events in Trenčín and the surrounding region, later becoming involved in projects such as HRAD Beckov and Breaking Soundz. His musical world connects house, breakbeat, and drum & bass, while community, freedom, and respect remain just as important to him as music itself.
From Saturday into Sunday morning, another unforgettable sunrise will be brought by Bez ladu a skladu together with Lucerka. The legendary Trenčín-based band will return to the airport with a special performance combining alternative energy, iconic songs, and powerful brass arrangements.
In 2025, Bez ladu a skladu celebrated 40 years together with a series of special concerts and the limited vinyl release of their album Iba raz. Founded in Trenčín in 1985, the band became one of the defining acts of the Czech and Slovak alternative scene. In 2009, The New York Times listed them among the bands that “contributed to the fall of the Iron Curtain.” This year, they also received the Radio_Head Awards for Lifetime Contribution to Music.
Their concerts have always been more than just live performances — they are celebrations of freedom, originality, and independent spirit.
At Pohoda 2026, both festival sunrises will belong to the people who helped create the festival itself. Two different musical worlds, two unforgettable mornings, and one shared spirit — Pohoda.
Pohoda 2026 will feature performances by The Cure, Gorillaz, The Prodigy, Lykke Li, Denzel Curry, IDLES, Oliver Tree, Apashe & Brass Orchestra, Action Bronson, Emilíana Torrini, Baxter Dury, and many more.
The festival is already sold out; only a limited number of 4-day passes remain.
One-day tickets for THE CURE Extra Day are still available.
Pohoda Festival will take place on July 8 & July 9–11, 2026, at Trenčín Airport.
