Alongside Michal Kaščák, Mario Michna is one of the people without whom Pohoda would never have come into existence. Over the years at Trenčín Airport, he has appeared as co-founder, dramaturg, electrician, stage manager, performer, and even the in-house cook for our team and volunteers. This year, he will welcome the sunrise from Friday into Saturday in yet another role — as DJ Wychitawacs.
Behind the name Wychitawacs is Mario Michna, who has been dedicated to DJing since 2001. That was also the year he began organising the first club nights and larger electronic music events in and around Trenčín through his agency 21:10 promotion. His promoter roots, however, go even further back — to the late 1980s, when he was part of the underground, punk, and environmental scene, organising concerts and community gatherings.
In 1997, he stood alongside Michal Kaščák at the birth of the Pohoda festival. A few years later, he received his first vinyl records as a birthday gift and played his very first vinyl DJ set at the legendary Goa club in Dubnica. More than a quarter century has passed since then, during which DJ Wychitawacs has performed at clubs and festivals across Slovakia, as well as in the Czech Republic, Poland, and England.
Mario is also behind the legendary HRAD Beckov festival, the Breaking Soundz project, and the popular DJ duo DRINKTEAM, which he formed together with DODO.man.
Mario has long been a passionate supporter of house music, breakbeat and drum & bass culture, an advocate of a mindful vegan lifestyle, and a tireless defender of animal rights.
Saturday morning at Trenčín Airport will therefore belong to someone who has been connected to Pohoda since its very beginning. The sunrise set with DJ Wychitawacs will be exactly what Pohoda mornings are all about — peaceful, danceable, communal, and filled with the joy of music and a new day beginning.
Pohoda 2026 will feature performances by The Cure, Gorillaz, The Prodigy, Lykke Li, Denzel Curry, IDLES, Oliver Tree, Apashe & Brass Orchestra, Action Bronson, Emilíana Torrini, Baxter Dury, and many more.
The festival is already sold out; only a limited number of 4-day passes remain.
One-day tickets for THE CURE Extra Day are still available.
Pohoda Festival will take place on July 8 & July 9–11, 2026, at Trenčín Airport.
