Recently, there have been several changes in the Pohoda team. Some time ago, we were joined by long-term collaborator Barbora Bodnárová, who is in charge of contracts with artists and hospitality, and a former part-time worker of many years and later an important member of the external team, Ondro Poláček, joined the production. A completely new member of our office staff is Gabriel Sebő, who is in charge of merch, marketing, and related activities. Another re-confirmed name of Pohoda 2021 is the Canadian electro-pop duo Purity Ring. At the Trenčín airport they will come with their third album Womb. Pitchfork wrote about the album: WOMB is some of Purity Ring’s strongest work, a confident and singular statement from a band often imitated over the past decade. → read more
Several performers of Pohoda 2021 and their albums scored in the end-year selections of renowned media. Yves Tumor was on fire – his album Heaven To A Tortured Mind was praised by Pitchfork, Guardian, DIY but also by the Czech magazine Fullmoon or Radio_FM. DIY also highlighted Crack Cloud’s new album and NME added Black Country, New Road to their list of the essential new artists. Several performers of previous editions our festival scored as well, such as Róisín Murphy (Róisín Machine), This Is the Kit (Off Off On), Thundercat (It Is What It Is), Everything Everything (RE-ANIMATOR) Jessie Ware (What's Your Pleasure?) Dorota Nvotová will perform together with Marián Slávka and Australian bassist Marcus Dengate at Doma dobre 2020. They will play songs from the album More, new pieces from the upcoming album Ten, as well as songs Dorota wrote in collaboration with Milan Lasica. Kilometre Dance at the Doma Dobre festival will be performed by its author Katarína Zagorski. For this occasion she will revive a character from Vank, a performance created together with dancer Eva Klimáčková, musician Oskar Rózsa and actor Csongor Kassai in 1999. Costume is by fashion designer Jana Kuzmová. Special thanks to Japanese noise music artist KK Null for permission to use excerpts from his Kosmista Noisea album. → read more

The 7th edition of the Doma dobre festival will offer the most varied programme so far. It will offer the music of Dorota Nvotová, Katarzia, Fero Király, Funny Fellows with guests, and Ivan Šiller. The festival will also include dance, literature and debates. You can watch the festival on Sunday, 13th December from 2 pm in a live stream on the YouTube channel and Facebook page of the Pohoda festival and Depaul Slovakia. The aim is to draw attention to the very real problems of homeless people, for whom winter is a critical time. The festival is also a call to support the activities of the largest low-threshold dormitory in Central Europe, which is celebrating 15 years of its establishment. The people behind the dormitory have a simple wish: “As an organization, we have just one wish for our anniversary, together with the homeless people—to survive this winter.” → read more
