Medial Banana Returns to Pohoda
Medial Banana—one of the most distinctive and consistent bands on the Central European reggae scene—will also return to the Trenčín airport in 2026. Over nearly two decades, they have built a strong reputation by combining infectious Jamaican rhythms with a modern European sound, distinctive melodies, and a natural connection with the audience. Their concerts possess an energy that can captivate audiences regardless of age or language.
10. April 2026
The band is led by founding members and frontmen Erik Šulc and Pokyman, who have shaped it since its inception. After years on the scene, Medial Banana entered a new chapter—new musicians joined the lineup, bringing fresh energy and a new dynamic to the band.
Over the course of their career, they have released several albums and EPs, including Uplifted, Rockin’ It, and Nedotknuteľní. Their latest album to date, More času from 2024, features thirteen tracks about the present, relationships, and the need to slow down in an accelerated world. Musically, it blends roots reggae with modern groove, dub, and pop elements, naturally expanding the band’s live repertoire.
Medial Banana is a band that performs equally well on large festival stages and in clubs. At Pohoda, they’ll deliver a concert full of positive energy, rhythm, and songs the audience knows by heart.
Over three days (Thursday to Saturday), Pohoda 2026 will feature performances by Gorillaz, The Prodigy, Lykke Li, Denzel Curry, IDLES, Oliver Tree, Apashe & Brass Orchestra, Action Bronson, Emilíana Torrini, Baxter Dury, and many more.
For the first time in Pohoda’s history, there will also be a standalone Extra Day, featuring The Cure, The Twilight Sad, Just Mustard, and Denis Bango. For Wednesday – The Cure Extra Day, it is possible to purchase a single-day ticket or combine the experience with the full festival by buying a 4-day pass, which is currently the most cost-effective way to enjoy Pohoda in its entirety. Pohoda Festival will take place on July 8 & July 9–11, 2026, at Trenčín Airport.
