Iglooghost brings his surreal electronic universe to Pohoda 2026
One of the most distinctive names in experimental electronic music, Iglooghost, will perform at Pohoda Festival in 2026. The project of Bristol-based artist Seamus Malliagh is known for intricate genre-bending productions and immersive visual storytelling that transforms his music into a fully imagined world.
26. March 2026
Iglooghost’s work often acts as an entry point to complex fictional ecosystems populated by strange entities, cryptic lore and imagined subcultures. His hyper-detailed electronic soundscapes blend with surreal narratives, making each release feel like a transmission from an alternative reality.
His third studio album Tidal Memory Exo, released in 2024 on LuckyMe, perfectly captures this vision. Written while living in a storm-battered seaside town in the UK, the album draws inspiration from both the bleak coastal environment and the fictional mythology Malliagh built around it. During a period spent squatting in a flooded MOT garage on the Kent coast, he imagined prehistoric debris washing ashore, rumours of trilobite civilisations and an underground “tidal scene” of rogue musicians creating mutated genres such as Foamtek or SporeStyle.
The record marks a new stage in Iglooghost’s evolution. Alongside his trademark chaotic beats and dense electronics, Tidal Memory Exo introduces raw, post-punk-inspired vocals for the first time. The result feels like a dystopian coastal radio broadcast filled with industrial glitches, growling textures and aquatic motifs.
To expand the album’s universe, Malliagh also launched the interactive website exportal.xyz – a digital hub featuring fictional message boards, imaginary artefacts and cryptic scavenger hunts for hidden tracks.
These ideas come fully alive on stage. Iglooghost’s live shows combine theatrical performance with unusual stage elements – from live metal detecting to strange eggs and custom circular screens displaying cryptid-inspired visuals. Created together with artist Yaz XL, the show immerses audiences directly into the strange world of Tidal Memory Exo.
Expect a live experience that feels less like a concert and more like stepping into a surreal electronic mythology.
Over three days (Thursday to Saturday), Pohoda 2026 will feature performances by Gorillaz, The Prodigy, Lykke Li, Denzel Curry, IDLES, Oliver Tree, Apashe & Brass Orchestra, Action Bronson, Emilíana Torrini, Baxter Dury, and many more.
For the first time in Pohoda’s history, there will also be a standalone Extra Day, featuring The Cure, The Twilight Sad, Just Mustard, and Denis Bango. For Wednesday – The Cure Extra Day, it is possible to purchase a single-day ticket or combine the experience with the full festival by buying a 4-day pass, which is currently the most cost-effective way to enjoy Pohoda in its entirety. Pohoda Festival will take place on July 8 & July 9–11, 2026, at Trenčín Airport.
