Slovak reggae band Akustika to perform at Pohoda 2026
Another local act blending genres, languages and audiences will join the lineup at Pohoda Festival 2026. The reggae band Akustika from Prešov will bring their distinctive sound to Trenčín Airport.

Akustika has been active on the Slovak music scene for more than a decade and is one of the few Slovak bands consistently exploring reggae. Their music combines reggae with elements of folk and world music, featuring original lyrics in Slovak, English and Ukrainian. The band’s sound stands out thanks to its instrumentation — guitar, bass, drums and keyboards enriched with a brass section and percussion.
In 2017, the band released the album Zastavme svet, which was nominated for the Slovak music awards Radio_Head Awards. Akustika is also known for visually distinctive music videos, including the animated clip for the song Mizneme, created in collaboration with animation student Matúš Zajac and carrying a strong environmental message.
The band also maintains a strong connection to its home city. They traditionally perform on Maundy Thursday at the Stromoradie music club, and in May 2025 they performed there alongside Slovak jazz legend Peter Lipa at a commemorative event dedicated to Ján Kuciak and Martina Kušnírová.
Currently the band is focusing on writing new songs and recording their upcoming album. At Pohoda we can therefore expect a lively mix of their well-known tracks and fresh material — all delivered with the laid-back reggae energy perfect for a summer festival.
Pohoda 2026 will feature performances by The Cure, Gorillaz, The Prodigy, Lykke Li, Denzel Curry, IDLES, Oliver Tree, Apashe & Brass Orchestra, Action Bronson, Emilíana Torrini, Baxter Dury, and many more.
The festival is already sold out; only a limited number of 4-day passes remain.
