INSO-Lviv Orchestra to perform at Pohoda 2026
Pohoda 2026 will welcome an extraordinary musical force whose sound resonates far beyond the borders of Ukraine – INSO-Lviv Symphony Orchestra. Known for blending classical tradition with bold experimentation, the orchestra will bring a performance where the richness of symphonic music meets the open spirit of the festival.
09. March 2026
Founded in 1998, the orchestra has grown into one of the most distinctive ensembles of its region. Their concerts move effortlessly between symphonic masterpieces, opera repertoire, jazz improvisation and contemporary music. On the Pohoda stage, they will transform these influences into a powerful live experience – music that goes straight to the heart.
In 2024 the orchestra reached a major milestone with the release of an album on the prestigious label Pentatone. Recorded together with violin legend Joshua Bell and conductor Dalia Stasevska, the album gained international recognition and was listed among the best classical releases of the year by The Times and The Sunday Times. Broadcast rights were acquired by leading classical media platforms Mezzo and Medici.tv, bringing the orchestra’s sound to audiences around the world.
Beyond concert halls, INSO-Lviv is also deeply committed to the future of music. For seven years the orchestra has been developing The Academy of Music, an educational initiative supporting young musicians as they discover their voice and step onto the global stage.
At Pohoda, INSO-Lviv will offer more than a concert. They will bring a living musical story – written in sound, emotion and shared experience.
Over three days (Thursday to Saturday), Pohoda 2026 will feature performances by Gorillaz, The Prodigy, Lykke Li, Denzel Curry, IDLES, Oliver Tree, Apashe & Brass Orchestra, Action Bronson, SHERELLE A/V Show, and many more. For the first time in Pohoda’s history, there will also be a standalone Extra Day, featuring The Cure, The Twilight Sad, Just Mustard, and Denis Bango.
For Wednesday – The Cure Extra Day, it is possible to purchase a single-day ticket or combine the experience with the full festival by buying a 4-day pass, which is currently the most cost-effective way to enjoy Pohoda in its entirety. Pohoda Festival will take place on July 8 & July 9–11, 2026, at Trenčín Airport.
