Garage & Tony Ducháček to bring Czech underground rock’n’roll to Pohoda 2026
Legendary Czech underground rock band Garage & Tony Ducháček are coming to Pohoda 2026. One of the defining names of the Czech and Slovak underground scene since the early 1980s, the band will bring their unmistakable blend of pub rock, punk energy and raw guitar-driven sound to Trenčín Airport. Fronted by the charismatic Tony Ducháček, whose instantly recognisable vocal style became a hallmark of the underground era, Garage remain as authentic and powerful as ever.

The band was formed at the turn of the 1970s and 1980s around bassist Ivo Pospíšil, but their defining moment came in 1982 when Tony Ducháček joined the group. During communist Czechoslovakia they became one of the key acts of the underground scene, with their music spreading through legendary demo tapes such as Garáž… byla a je and Garáž? Na tu nemáš!. After the fall of the regime, the band toured across Europe and the US, releasing milestone albums including No Parking!, Garage, Apogeum, Nepohádka and the darker comeback album Black!.
The current line-up features Tony Ducháček (vocals), Jan Macháček (guitar), Jan Pokorný (guitar), David Fikrle (bass) and René Starhon (drums). Following Tony Ducháček’s serious health issues and recovery, the band made a triumphant return in 2025 with a sold-out comeback show in Prague’s Vagon club, praised as one of the most powerful returns on the Czech scene in recent years.
Garage & Tony Ducháček are among the bands that helped define the Czechoslovak underground while maintaining their unique identity over four decades later. Expect legendary songs, loud guitars and authentic rock’n’roll spirit at Pohoda 2026.
Pohoda 2026 will feature performances by The Cure, Gorillaz, The Prodigy, Lykke Li, Denzel Curry, IDLES, Oliver Tree, Apashe & Brass Orchestra, Action Bronson, Emilíana Torrini, Baxter Dury, and many more.
