The online space is becoming a battlefield where decency and truth often come off worse. Bob Kartous has been fighting misinformation and conspiracy theories for a long time – not only as an educator but also as the spokesperson for the group Čeští elfové (Czech Elves). He was part of the team behind Robin Kvapil’s documentary film, in which they took war deniers directly to the places where the war in Ukraine is unfolding. Tomáš Halász is the co-founder of the startup TrollWall AI, which develops artificial intelligence to instantly filter out hateful comments, helping to create a more respectful online environment. Together with Sandra Polovková from Post Bellum, which focuses on documenting 20th-century non-democratic regimes, they will explore what freedom means in the 21st century on the internet.

This discussion takes a close look at Slovak Gen Z through data, research, and social media – not through sensationalism, but through understanding. Are they really sensitive and insecure, or simply different? Why does a quarter of them have no desire for a family? Why do they become independent more slowly than their peers in other countries? And how are their values shaped in today’s world? An inspiring conversation that will bring the world of young people closer to anyone who wants to better understand the future that’s already here.
