We've launched the new website, announced the line-up & three contests for Pohoda in the Air

Already tomorrow night will start the on-line festival Pohoda in the Air. On this occasion, we launched a new version of our website with some features specially designed for the on-line festival. Also, the complete line-up has been announced, as well as three contests for spectators in connection with the festival: a contest for pianists who will welcome the Sun directly in Trenčín, a competition for a tandem jump to the Trenčín airport, and a challenge for all Pohoda fans to send us videos of them watching Pohoda in the Air.

The Pohoda website has undergone the largest facelift over recent years. The goal of our graphic artists Tereza Maco and Zuzana Liptáková together with the developer Rasťo Chynoranský was to update the website and make it more organized and attractive. They started working on the updated version before the Pohoda festival was rescheduled and before the decision to organize an on-line festival was made—and so eventually adapted the environment to the “virtuality” of Pohoda in the Air. The homepage of the website aims to express other dimensions offered by the festival in the on-line space. The individual stages represent “planets” orbiting the Trenčín airport. When you click them, the stage schedule and stream preview are displayed. The complete schedule can be found in the line-up section. This way, spectators can plan their own Pohoda in the Air.

There will be no visitors at Pohoda in the Air, but the exception to the rule will be one winner of a tandem jump to the Trenčín Airport that will result from the contest published on the Facebook page of Pohoda. Just as welcoming the Sun is an integral part of the festival in Trenčín, so are also “street musicians” playing the pianos at the Pohoda venue. These two traditions will also be transferred to Pohoda in the Air thanks to a contest for pianists. Out of the videos uploaded in the comments below the post announcing the contest, an expert jury composed of pianist Lucia Chuťková, Dorota Nvotová, and Braňo Jobus will select three winners who will play live at Pohoda in the Air at welcoming the Sun on Friday night/Saturday morning (deadline for posting videos is today, Wednesday 8th July at 11:59 pm).

The most important part of Pohoda, which creates its unmistakable atmosphere, are its visitors. Although they will not participate directly in the festival, we wish to involve them, too. Spectators are encouraged to upload 10-30 second videos of themselves watching Pohoda in the Air. The best ones will be included in the aftermovie from this festival.
