The children's theatre programme @ Pohoda 2023

The children's theatre programme presents stories about the Wolf and the Grandmother - but not the ones that first come to mind. Completely different ones. And in a completely different way! Unusual, funny and respectful of our uniqueness. And then there's Snake and Piranha and even Windstorm. What will be the result? A lot of fun and an encounter with the theatre for people of all ages.

Odivo : O vlkovi, ktorý vypadol z knižky (The Wolf That Fell Out of the Book)

A fairy tale with live music about the longing to belong somewhere.
Have you ever had a wolf fall out of your favourite book? It is very unpleasant. Lost, he wanders between the lines, wanders into the wilderness, even into prehistoric times with the dinosaurs, knocks on the door of seven little goats and bumps into a pack of wolves. How many letters and illustrations will he have to jump over and how many wolf shenanigans will he encounter before he finds a new home?

Divadlo Houže : Babička!!! (Grandmother!!!)

A family production about the importance of facing the fear of the unknown and enjoying life at any age, showing us that old age isn't a disease and that sometimes monotony isn't all that bad.
Being a grandmother or grandfather is sometimes not an easy task. The world around us is always in a hurry, butter is expensive, there are scammers everywhere, your back hurts in the morning and your knees and head at night. Why would we go anywhere, if we then had to go back again! But grandma made it easy. She's on the phone, sitting and talking to grandpa about all sorts of things.
“So what’s new?”
“Nothing, everyhing the same.”
“Great, that’s good.”
But what happens when one day the phone rings and rings and no one is answering? Grandma is forced to embark on an adventurous journey and master the pitfalls of the unpredictable world.

Bratislavské bábkové divadlo : Vincent a Víchrica (Bratislava Puppet Theatre: Vincent and Windstorm)

A gentle story about love and how difficult it is to find ‘the one’.
When little Ema notices that her parents are not as nice to each other as they used to be, she decides to find out why. Together with a crazy neighbour and her grandmother, they set out to find out that Vincent, a shy gentleman who is wasting away for lack of hugs and kisses, is to blame for the family's discomfort. A hug is the way to the heart, and Vincent's is empty. In order for Dad and Mom to find their way back to each other, Ema must help Vincent find someone who loves him. And so Ema, her neighbour, and Grandma spring into action. The search for a girlfriend for Vincent turns into a cheerful and somewhat wild game with all the ingredients for a happy ending. Nothing seems to stand in the way of love anymore. Except... Vincent himself – a quirky guy who is going to be a real handful.

nevaDIvadlo : Smradi (Stinkers)

What happens when the evil Stinkers decide to do some good? A production that breaks with the clichés of evil animal characters, inspired by a detective story. The Wolf, the Snake, the Piranha or the Shark generally do not have a good reputation. But in this story, everything is completely different! The characters become heroes, but it's not always easy, especially when a tasty treat lurks around every corner.
Loosely based on the work of Aaron Blabey.
