Looking for the visitors from the legendary Muddy Pohoda 2001

Twenty-five years ago, a photograph was taken at Pohoda that many people still remember to this day. During the legendary Muddy Pohoda 2001 at the Pod Sokolicami stadium in Trenčín, photographer Rado Stoklasa captured it for TASR. It shows a mud-covered couple embracing amid the festival atmosphere – a moment that became one of the symbols of that unforgettable year.

To mark Pohoda's 30th edition, we'd like to complete this story.

Together with Rado Stoklasa, we're looking for the couple in the photograph. If we manage to find them, we'd love to invite them to Pohoda 2026, where a new photograph will be taken on the same theme – 25 years on. They'll hold the original large-format photograph from 2001 in their hands, which Rado Stoklasa will also give them to keep as a memento.

Maybe they're no longer a couple. Maybe they haven't seen each other in years. All the more interesting to find out what story lies behind this iconic photograph.
