Pohoda 2019 will also feature Trojan Sound System. This band and reggae culture institution in one consists of the selector (Daddy Ad) and vocalists who represent the most legendary reggae and ska record label in history – Trojan records. This London record label celebrated 50 years last year, and has been spreading its message through the original live line-up of Trojan Sound System over the last decade. Its members have performed at clubs and festivals around the whole world, as well as a support act for bands such as The Wailers, Luciano, Lee 'Scratch' Perry and Sly & Robby. Now it’s Pohoda’s turn.
Trojan Sound System play music that satisfies even the purest of vinyl collectors, while at the same time, introducing a new generation to the roots of Jamaican music and bass. In their sets, they mix the reggae styles and flavours of the last 40 years with the support of the enthusiastic vocals from the MC trio consisting of Supa4 Creation, Chucky Bantan and Jah Buck. Their record label, Trojan Records, won the inspiration for the music industry award at the Q Awards last year. Trojan Sound System will bring their reggae dance party to Pohoda 2019 as well.
