Yuki Chiba brings contemporary Japanese rap to Pohoda
Pohoda 2026 will feature the most distinctive voice in contemporary Japanese rap today—Yuki Chiba. His work blends modern trap, introspective lyrics, and a striking visual identity, making him one of the most intriguing figures on the Asian hip-hop scene.
13. April 2026
Yuki Chiba has gained international attention thanks to his authentic artistic voice and his ability to connect Japanese cultural influences with a global rap sound. His tracks often move between raw personal storytelling, melancholic moods and the confident energy of modern trap.
He has also made a significant impact beyond Japan. His collaboration on the track Mamushi with Megan Thee Stallion introduced him to a wider international audience and highlighted the growing global reach of Japanese hip-hop.
At Trenčín Airport he will bring a powerful live performance combining modern trap energy with the distinctive style that has made him one of the most talked-about artists of Japan’s new rap generation.
Yuki Chiba will also expand the strong rap line-up at the 30th edition of Pohoda. The festival will feature performances by Denzel Curry, Action Bronson, Native James, Kae Tempest, as well as Slovak representative Gleb.
Over three days (Thursday to Saturday), Pohoda 2026 will feature performances by Gorillaz, The Prodigy, Lykke Li, Denzel Curry, IDLES, Oliver Tree, Apashe & Brass Orchestra, Action Bronson, Emilíana Torrini, Baxter Dury, and many more.
For the first time in Pohoda’s history, there will also be a standalone Extra Day, featuring The Cure, The Twilight Sad, Just Mustard, and Denis Bango. For Wednesday – The Cure Extra Day, it is possible to purchase a single-day ticket or combine the experience with the full festival by buying a 4-day pass, which is currently the most cost-effective way to enjoy Pohoda in its entirety.
