This Year, Puding Pani Elvisovej Will Say Hello From Trenčín Airport

The legendary band Puding Pani Elvisovej will kick off Saturday’s music programme at Pohoda with their sunny, energetic set. Expect tried-and-true hits, fresh songs from their latest album AHOJ, and plenty of surprises – all with their newest member, Isobutane. Joining PPE on stage will also be singer SJU.

Slovak electro-indie-pop band Puding Pani Elvisovej, known as PPE, was formed back in 1994 in Košice. Their current line-up features Slivka (vocals), Miloš (drums), Pino (keys, guitar), Viliam (bass), and their newest addition Martin Krajčír aka Isobutane (guitar, keys).

Over their 30 years on the Slovak music scene, PPE have released albums Automati (2004), Play/Pause/Eject (2007), π (2010), Tektonická Platňa (2015), and their “zero” album Mohérpop (2021). Between 2010 and 2012, they won the Best Live Band of the Year award at the Radio_Head Awards three years in a row, and in 2011, they also took home the Single of the Year award for the song “Astoria”.

Last year, PPE’s album portfolio welcomed its latest addition, their fifth album AHOJ, which was preceded by a series of gradually released singles including “Polooblačná” (feat. Milan Cais from Tatabojs), “Ferrari Víkend”, and “Paradox Výmyslov” – the sonically heaviest track ever produced by PPE.

This iconic and much-loved band will serve up their energetic set at Pohoda on Saturday afternoon. They’ll be joined on stage by singer SJU, with whom they toured 15 cities across the Czech Republic and Slovakia this year as part of their AHOJ Tour.
