Tenth Birthday at NAY house of dance
Nay House of Dance celebrates its 10th birthday at Bažant Pohoda. Year after year, the interactive music-dance tent hosts leading personalities of local as well as foreign dance scene representing various genres and, in an attractive way, opens the art of dance to the general public. Every year, program of the workshops presents creations that come into being exclusively for the festival: (Praise You, Pulp Fiction, Scissor Sisters, Two Door Cinema Club, Midi lidi, Thom Yorke and others). Since we have a reason to celebrate, this year, several treats are scheduled at Nay House of Dance.

Jump like a Star
Those visiting the stage can make stylish 3D matrix-like videos, take jumping photos just like real rock stars do during their shows. In another tent, 15 Sony Action Cams will take photos of you all at once and we’ll make a video out of them. Your video will be available on facebook.com/elektrodom page and you can share it with your friends on social networks. Costumes and props will be available for original solo as well as group jumps.

FRIDAY 11:00 – 12:00 – Glitters in Rhythm / Petra Polnišová a Laco Cmorej
With a good deal of humor and a series of highly creative motion variations, this unforgettable duo will wake the party animal inside you and teach you the best way to shine on the dancefloor.
FRIDAY, 13:00 – 14:00 “Na kráľovej holi”
Long-time stage manager and fellow worker Fero Morong with his wife Barbora will give you insight into the rhythms of the Horehronie region. There will be clapping, clumping and a lot more. Polyphonic singing of men from Pohorelá accompanied by the well-known Bratislava-based Muzička will give you shivers in the middle of July.
FRIDAY: 15:00 – 16:00 Charleston and airport letkiss
With Funny Fellows and charismatic dance couple Stela Koščíková and Ján Kubriczký you’ll go a few decades back in time. Dancers will find themselves in the swirl of fun, elegance and charm.
FRIDAY, 17:00 – 18:00 CLIP DANCE - Jaro Bekr and Aron Tesfaye Mitu..
An extraordinary combination of Jaro’s dance mastery, Aron’s distinctive female southern temperament and musical accompaniment of “Die Antwoord.” The best choice to put you in the mood – through the popular clip dance – for one of the big names of this year’s edition.
SATURDAY, 11:00 – 12:00 PortDeBras – hands up
Dance workshop where hands play first fiddle. “PortDeBras”style inspired by classical dance gains in popularity. In addition to that, a live musical accompaniment Spectrum Quartet under the baton of Jano Kružliak.
SATURDAY 13:00 – 14:00 From Beneath the Tatras
Traditional dances in the house of dance prove that the tried and tested endorphins are still working. During the lessons on dances from the Liptov region led by Simona Dikaszová and Jakub Filipek, a man can dance with two women at once. Your excuse can be that this is the way people from Važec, for example, did it. The accompanying band is Michal Pagáč’s ĽH. The fact that the musicians and Fallgrapp members look 100% alike is purely coincidental, or is it?
SATURDAY: 15:00 – 16:00 Orko: Roma dances
The workshop of Roma dances from Romania will bring a good deal of temperament. To be performed by Gázsa band and Sándor Juhász from Budapest-based professional dance ensemble Honvéd.
SATURDAY 16:00 – 18:00 CLIP DANCE – Björk
A unique Björk songs-themed dancing lessons by Debris company from the artistic workshop of the excellent choreographer Stanka Vlčeková and Dano Raček will prepare the festival-goers for the night music show properly. And, perhaps, “the dancer in the dark” alone will get inspired at Pohoda, too.
