Talented Vojtik at Pohoda 2025

From “Detva Dream” to “Messiah” and now “Prince Timmy”. Vojtik is one of the young Slovak artists who evolve with every album and reveal a new version of themselves with each release. We’re excited that Pohoda will give us the chance to experience all the faces of this talented musician.

Vojtik is a young composer, singer, and producer from Detva who first caught people’s attention with his 2023 single Detviansky sen (Detva Dream). Its powerful message won us all over. That same year, his debut album Kvety z Podpoľania was named Debut of the Year at the Radio_Head Awards 2023.

In November last year, he released his second studio album MESSIASH IX, which proves that Vojtik’s success was no coincidence. Alongside many positive reviews, it also earned a nomination for Album of the Year 2024 (journalists’ award) at the Radio_Head Awards.

The album offers a colourful palette of pop songs influenced by art pop, gospel, folk music, and the American singer Tori Amos. In his review for Denník N, Peter Bálik wrote: “On his second album, he shows that he’s not just the author of a one-off hit, but a brilliant singer and multi-genre artist with a wide range. For someone who’s only 20, it’s quite astonishing. His Messiash IX is a powerful message about the life of a young person going through hell – and turning those struggles into something noble.”

Vojtik is currently preparing a new EP, Prince Timmy, inspired by Japanese pop and hyperpop. We're excited that at Pohoda, we'll get to experience not only the older work but also some fresh new pieces.
