Stroon to Bring an Immersive Audio Experience to Pohoda 2026

One of the most distinctive voices of Slovakia’s contemporary experimental and electronic music scene, Stroon, will perform at Pohoda 2026. He will bring his unique live set to the ESET Science Arena on Saturday, 11 July at 7:00 PM.

For more than a decade, Stroon has been a vital presence on the Slovak music scene. A vibraphonist, producer, composer, and sonic explorer, he creates music at the intersection of electronics, ambient soundscapes, contemporary classical music, and improvisation. His work is characterised by dreamlike atmospheres, contemplation, minimalist structures, and a constant search for immersive listening experiences.

Since the release of his acclaimed debut album Ruine Noire in 2010, Stroon has continuously expanded his musical language. Over the years, he has blended electronics with vibraphone, distorted guitars, choirs, chamber ensembles, and orchestral textures. His latest album, Metal Bubble Memories, explores his vision of film music and further demonstrates his ability to connect seemingly distant musical worlds into a coherent and captivating whole.

A significant part of Stroon’s artistic output is devoted to theatre, film, dance performances, and site-specific projects. His work includes productions such as Die Troerinnen, Folklore not War, and Fettered to the Moment, as well as music for films including Good Old Czechs and War Correspondent. He has also performed at festivals such as Open'er, Lunchmeat, Waves, BUSH, Konvergencie, VIVA Musica!, and Pohoda.

Every Stroon performance is shaped by its surroundings, audience, and moment in time. The result is a unique blend of electronic and acoustic composition that invites listeners to explore new sonic horizons.
