Slovak Music Shines in Photos Too – Martina Mlčúchová Wins Award for Her Series from Pohoda 2025

Our long-time photographer and friend Martina Mlčúchová has succeeded at the prestigious Budapest International Foto Awards (BIFA). Her photographs from Pohoda 2025 won 2nd place in the “People – Event” category.

This achievement is not only a recognition of Martina’s work but also a celebration of the Slovak music scene – the jury awarded a photo series that prominently features Slovak artists.

Under the title “Queens and Kings of Pohoda Festival 2025” Martina submitted a collection of images capturing Nina Kohout, Jana Kirschner, Fallgrapp, Korben Dallas, as well as international stars such as Iggy Pop, Queens of the Stone Age, and Morcheeba.

“The best of Slovak and international music at Pohoda Festival 2025. It doesn't matter where it's from - even "local" Slovak music is truly world-class. This is especially true at a world-class event like Pohoda Festival 2025, which features stars, headliners, and dedicated fans,” reads the BIFA statement.
