Radio(active zone) _FM again at our festival

Radio(active zone) _FM will again broadcast concerts, interesting discussions, and live performances. Our friends from Rádio_FM have invited the bands Saténové ruky, Dalekko, Carpet Cabinet, and Martina Javor in their tent.

03. June 2015

Simple guitar riffs, playful lyrics with a story, and a rock and roll drive are typical of the Bratislava band Saténové ruky. The band is formed of Vlado Janček (vocals and guitar), Bebe (vocals, bass guitar), Kasko (vocals, guitar), and Jožo Lipa (drums). Their debut album “Bozkávam” was publicly released just a few days ago (May 14) and it was co-produced by Tomáš Sloboda of Le Payaco. You can find there the songs “Debil a kráľovná” and “DušaN”. The video for the latter one was shot by the Japanese director Sugimoto Kousuke (the song had 35,000 views in the first month of its release). The band has already performed at festivals such as Pohoda, Žákovic Open, and Radio_Head Awards.

Dalekko – the band was formed in 2013 as a studio project of the sound engineer Džian Baban aka dB and the singer, guitarist and racing driver Pavel Sajner aka Sajny. The music of Dalekko is found somewhere between alternative rock and lo-fi pop, with the elements of electronics, and has Czech lyrics. Two years ago, they released their first EP; a year later, their single “Nechoďte ješte spát!” came out; finally, in January this year, their debut album entitled “Neběžel jsem tudy?” was published. The audience liked the album, and so did even critics (Radio Wave, Respekt, Lidové noviny, Czech TV, and others). They have recently grown by three other members and presented a concert form of the album. At Bažant Pohoda, they will perform with the drummer Filip Hisem, guitarist Jan Pruck, and bass-guitarist Jan Patko.

Carpet Cabinet is a Slovakian-Czech musical formation from Brno. It combines the elements of funk, house, hip-hop, soul, R'n'B, and electronic music. The band is known for its energetic and dynamic concerts. Six musicians playing saxophone, trumpet, guitar, keyboards, bass guitar, drums, and vocoder provide a real portion of fun on the dancefloor. The members of Cabinet Carpet use their multi-genre orientation to cooperate with various visiting artists, of which perhaps the most significant one were the jazz-soul singer Sisa Fehérová and the young singer/rapper Ashley Sarah Abrman.

After her return from London, the songwriter Martina Javor published and publicly released her debut album “White Lies Covered Eyes”. The original sound of the album was provided by the arrangements of the music producers Maroš Hečko and Matúš Široký. Martina Javor has had a band since 2008 and its current members as Peter Bulík (electric guitar), Miloš Bulík (bass guitar), and Ľuboš “Ežo” Ambrozai (drums). Her work came to attention also thanks to the project Demovnica_FM, where she presented the song “Too many”. The song subsequently appeared on the compilation Demovnica Naostro.
