Miro Jilo Will Delight Children at Pohoda with His Playful Songs

The Family Park’s music programme on Saturday will be brightened by singer-songwriter Miro Jilo, who will get little Pohoda girls and boys dancing with his Song-Games.

Miro Jilo has taught music therapy, musical education, and even spent 13 years working in a youth reform school, where his guitar became one of his most essential tools.

Working with children, and especially his own experience of becoming a father of two, inspired him to begin writing songs primarily for young audiences. He is the in-house composer, lyricist and co-founder of the band Metelica, for whom he has so far written three albums: Deň pracovného pokoja (1999), Deň letecký (2003) and Deň žien (2008). As a solo artist under the name Miro Jilo, he has released three albums: Folk is Dad (2012), Hroch (2016), and Čáry Máry Múú (2020).

It’s said that people at festivals often mistake him for Mick Jagger. But instead of “Angie”, you can expect interactive songs full of humour and childlike joy at Pohoda.
