Martina Mlčúchová wins another international award for a photograph from Pohoda 2025

Long-time Pohoda Festival photographer and our friend Martina Mlčúchová has received a major international recognition in the prestigious MUSE Photography Awards for a photograph taken at last year’s Pohoda. The award is considered one of the leading global recognitions in photography, celebrating outstanding visual storytelling from various categories and countries around the world.

23. March 2026

The award-winning photograph captures a performance by Jana Kirschner and her musical and life partner Eddie Stevens during their concert at Pohoda 2025. It is an experimental image created using an in-camera double exposure technique. The silhouettes of the artists merge with the reflection of the piano, creating an almost triple-exposure effect – yet it is a genuine double exposure captured directly in-camera, without any digital manipulation.

Martina has been closely connected with Pohoda for many years. Through her photography, she helps tell the story of the festival – from powerful concert moments to small, intimate situations that shape the unmistakable atmosphere of Pohoda.

We warmly congratulate Martina and look forward to the next moments from Pohoda that her lens will capture.

MUSE Photography Awards is a global photography competition organised by International Awards Associate. It recognises outstanding work in documentary, fine art, portrait and event photography, with professional and amateur photographers from dozens of countries taking part each year.
