Katarzia at Pohoda 2024

Katarzia, Slovak singer, songwriter and composer, will showcase her latest album, "Šťastné dieťa," which she released on October 6, at Pohoda. In this new album, she has shifted from electronica back to classical instruments. The arrangements and production were co-crafted by producer and Animal Music label founder, Petr Ostrouchov (known for his work with artists like Lenka Dusilová), and pianist Kristína Smetanová, who gave a remarkable performance of the iconic recording "Plantasia" at Pohoda in 2023.

In her lyrics, Katarzia continues to authentically convey the real-life experiences of women, delving into the complexities of interpersonal relationships in today's society, all while being able to laugh at herself with insight.

Katarzia has also composed music for the TV series "Pozadie udalostí," directed by Jan Hřebejk, the feature-length documentary "Moja nová tvár," directed by Jarmila Štuková, and various theatrical productions. Her musical presence can also be heard in songs by artists like Vladimir 518, Peneři Strýčka Homeboye and Modré hory.
