Jimmy Pé at Pohoda 2018
The 22nd Pohoda will also see one of the most talented contemporary Slovak electronic music producers, Jimmy Pé. He received a Radio_Head Award for his EP Fake Fantasy. Currently, he is doing very well abroad as well, where his music is played by the likes of Baauer, Daedelus or DJ Craze. Towards the end of last year, he played his latest EP WuShu in China and, in spring, he brought it to the US (where he also performed at Low End Theory, Los Angeles). We’re glad he’s coming to introduce us to the EP at Trenčín airfield in ten days.

Together with his friend (GLGN), he founded an online GERGAZ NETLABEL in 2008, which collaborates with Fallgrapp, FVLCRVM, Inso and more. The first records he released were EPs Road to unknown (2009) and The Passengers (2011). He caught the attention of the world outside of Slovakia with his EP Fairy Tale. In 2014, he released EP Insomnia which, mood-wise, oscillates between the opposites of melancholy and euphoria. A year later, he made a more party-like EP Fake Fantasy which, compared to his previous music, is more experimental and dynamic. EP Masika and the latest EP WuShu followed. According to the NOIZZ portal, “he made the new EP primarily for the clubs and other DJs. It’s mostly bass music inspired by trap and hip-hop.”
