Czech Electronic Entertainer Ventolin to Bring All the Best to Pohoda

A one-man band with a wild live show. Czech electronic producer Ventolin will bring fun and dancing to Pohoda 2025 with both his older hits and fun new tracks from the album Všechno nejlepší (All the Best).

09. May 2025

Ventolin is the electronic project of David Doubek, founding member of the group Kazety and member of the theatre collective Nejhodnější medvídci. He’s been active on the electronic music scene since 2007. His debut release came in 2009 with the EP Mžitky, followed by the debut album Totem in 2012. In 2015, he released the Playbour EP, and in 2016 the collaborative album The Game YS ROTTYN with the anonymous Polish techno duo RSS B0YS. His breakthrough came with his second album Vitajte (2017), led by the viral hit Disco Science.

In 2012 followed the album Dneska se vyčasilo with hits such as “Mech” and “Posun času”. Alongside countless shows in Czech clubs and at festivals big and small, he’s a regular visitor to Slovakia and Poland. His live sets feature vintage samplers, analogue synths, and archaic drum machines. A lover of the raw sound of Detroit techno, Italian disco, and an Indian disco style known as shrumbabumba from the 1880s—played mainly by slapping one’s palm on a bald head. Mgr. David Doubek, Ph.D., also lectures in cultural anthropology at Charles University.

Ventolin’s latest album Všechno nejlepší was released last November—an album about finding musical joy despite everything. It’s his most colourful and refined work to date, moving across genres from psychedelic acid techno and jungle to disco, indie pop, and even hip hop. The fun music video for the single “Vyšší inteligence” follows Ventolin on an absurd journey from the kitchen stove to the nightclub.

In his latest release, Ventolin draws from a subjective perspective in his lyrics, making use of metaphors and the liberating power of nonsense. “The lyrics are about freedom, making fun of oneself, the cult of work, vulnerability, housing, mushrooms, swimming in the sea—or whatever listeners hear in them. Because alongside the things I try to say clearly, I most enjoy when the lyrics open a window into something else,” Ventolin explains. We guarantee you won’t be bored during Ventolin’s concert at Pohoda.
