Club WAX line-up at Pohoda on the Ground on Saturday, 10th July
On Saturday, 10th July, the WAX club from Bratislava will bring at Pohoda on the Ground names such as Setaoc Mass, Luvver, Isobutane, Fvlcrvm, Whithe, Toky & Loktibrada, and Proxima B . “When building the line-up, we preferred content over packaging. These are all performers who have already played at WAX, or whose music is played at our events and is also suitable for a club party. Next time, we will also have DnB. Thanks for the opportunity!” said Braňo Kŕč, the head of WAX, about the line-up.

SETAOC MASS
Setaoc Mass is from part of a select cut of young artists who are absorbing the legacy of techno music and carrying the torch into to future. A Manchester native based in Germany, he has played a number of sets in clubs such as Berghain, Tresor, Griessmuehle, Joshua Brooks, and Cafe 1001. While overseeing his own label SK_eleven, his releases push a techno immersed a sense of urgency, ever-propulsive with acute detailing and directed towards a futuristic space-age.
LUVVER
Pohoda on the Ground will also host the indie electro-pop band LUVVER from Nitra. Their music alternates a dreamy to melancholic atmosphere with uplifting and harmonious sound layers. This blends four-to-the-floor rhythm pattern and strong vocal melodies. At the Radio_Head Awards 2018, they were nominated Newcomer of the Year category and won the Advance Investments Foundation award (grant for music production). Last year they released new songs Vile/Divine, Vibes, Dark Times, Misguider, and #StayMild from the upcoming debut “It Is VVhat It Is”, which is expected at the end of June; the guys will present live and complete for the first time at Pohoda on the Ground. The band is known for its musically and visually energetic live performances, which was also confirmed by their concert at Pohoda in the Air. They are returning on our stage after a year and we are pleased that this time, they will have both visitors and cameramen in the crowd.
ISOBUTANE
Electronic music that exceeds the boundaries of the usual dance music or ambient dreaming, combining dancefloor bangers with playful improvisation on analog instruments is how Isobutan’s music could be described. It is a project by Martin Krajčír, who once built a stable position on the local electronic scene, and later exchanged it for the post of guitarist in band The Ills. At present, Isobutane once again deals with electronic music that is varied in genre and varies not only from one album to another, but also from one concert to another. Together with Archie, Isobutane will cut a live set full of electronic music that does not fear nostalgic memories or looking beyond the new horizons of dance music. The trio will be completed with live bass guitar played by Miloš Bulík (aka mlsblk) who is also known from band Space Cats.
FVLCRVM
FVLCRVM is a solo electronic project by the well-known Pišta Kráľovič, also known as a member of band Nvmeri (formerly The Uniques). In this musical incarnation, he intertwines the production of marginal club genres with pop lines using the help of rediscovered sounds of the ‘90s. His track “Hi!” was ranked No. 1 in the renowned playlist “Fresh Finds” and was included also in the BBC Radio 6 music playlist (played by Mary Anne Hobbs). His other single, “Words”, provided an insight into his version of the dystopian future and has been played more than a million times on Spotify. The track “Words” was also included in the Song Of The Day selection on KEXP, where it was played by DJ Kevin Cole. FVLCRVM’s live performances break down the barriers between a DJ set and a live performance. This was one of the ways he managed to captivate the bookers of the two most important showcase festivals in Europe, the Dutch ESNS and the German Reeperbahn. In the summer of 2020, he released his debut EP Attentioncore, on which, according to musicserver.cz, he wanders clubs virtually. He will also perform at Pohoda on the Ground on the WAX club stage.
WHITHE
Whithe creates atmospheric, experimental ambient / dance tracks primarily on analog devices. His work ranges from ambient soundscapes to club-oriented contemporary techno and future garage. In 2015, he participated in the Redbull Bass Music Academy in Prague, which opened the door for him to support names such as Kiasmos, Nina Kraviz, and Thundercat. He has also been a resident in Subclub in Bratislava.
TOKY & LOKTIBRADA
Despite their age, they keep their mastership in their genre. Juraj Tokár and Dalibor Kŕč are now techno legends, former residents of the equally cult U Club (later Subclub) and the names that far exceeded the borders of Slovakia. With their high-voltage club techno, they made dance people at parties in roughly 20 countries around the world: they will have the same ambition when they arrive at the Trenčín Airport at the beginning of July.
