Children’s Folklore Ensemble Kornička at Pohoda 2025

Last year, the Kornička folklore ensemble celebrated its 25th anniversary on the main stage at Pohoda. This year, they're returning with a performance for children as part of Friday's Family Park music programme.

The children’s folklore ensemble Kornička from Trenčín (1999) is like a girl’s plait woven from three strands. For over 25 years, they have drawn inspiration exclusively from the villages surrounding Trenčín, collecting and preserving local traditions and transforming them into authentic stage performances. Their focus is on embracing the principles of folk dance, singing, music, and the natural expressiveness of children. The ensemble is made up of three age-based groups and has its own folk band.
