Bratislava Band Saténové ruky to Play at Pohoda 2025
From the unlikely meeting of a group of original forty-somethings came one of Slovakia’s most lyrically distinctive bands. At Pohoda 2025, the beloved Saténové ruky will rock the stage, with no jackets and the pedal to the metal.
24. May 2025
Bratislava-based band Saténové ruky have been on the scene since 2011. The group consists of Marek Kasko Babušiak (vocals, guitar, bass), Vlado Janček (vocals, guitar), Braňo Bezák (vocals, guitar, bass), and Jožo Lipa (drums). Their debut album Bozkávam (2015) earned them two Radio_Head Awards – for Debut of the Year and Album of the Year (Journalists’ Choice). It was followed by another record in 2017, “aptly” titled Tretí album (The Third Album). In June 2021, they released LOM, produced by Marek Babušiak and Erik Losos Horák.
LOM received two nominations at the 2021 Radio_Head Awards, where the band also gave a special performance featuring their protest song “Ruky proti rusizmu”, condemning Russian aggression in Ukraine.
Last year, the band released two singles, “Mám to spočítané” and “Otvorená”, giving fans a taste of their upcoming fourth album. So start warming up those vocal cords. We’ll all be shouting “Kde mám bundu?” (“Where’s My Jacket?”) together on Friday night at Pohoda.
