Alina Pash, Apashe, Katarzia and the Sirénčatá Choir to perform at the Concert for Ukraine
On Sunday, February 22, we will once again gather at Bratislava’s Main Square for the Concert for Ukraine. This year, the event will be supported by Belgian-Canadian producer Apashe, Ukraine’s Alina Pash, Slovak singer Katarzia, and the children’s choir Sirénčatá. Symbolically, the international scene will meet the Slovak one, world-known artists will share the stage with the voices of the youngest generation. The Concert for Ukraine starts at 19:00 and admission is free.

Alina Pash comes to the Concert for Ukraine not only as an artist, but also as a woman from a country that has been fighting for its freedom for four years: “I am coming not only as an artist, but as a Ukrainian woman whose country is still fighting every day for freedom and the right to live in peace. For me, standing on the Main Square stage is a way to say: we are still here, we are still human, and we still believe in light even in dark times. Music cannot stop war. But it can hold people together. It can remind us that freedom, dignity, and compassion are things we must protect together. I am deeply grateful to Slovakia for standing with Ukraine. Your support is not invisible. It is felt. And when we gather in the heart of Bratislava, it will be more than a concert — it will be a moment of unity, strength, and shared humanity.”
Apashe is one of the most distinctive figures of today’s electronic music scene. He is known for his majestic sound blending electronic music, hip-hop, and orchestral elements into a powerful musical experience accompanied by striking visuals. He has performed at major festivals around the world, and his music has appeared in films, video games, and campaigns for global brands. He shares musical collaborations with Alina Pash, including the song Kyiv, for which they shot a powerful music video directly in the shelled city. Apashe will present a special performance accompanied by vocalist Wasiu and Alina Pash.
Slovakia will be represented by singer-songwriter Katarzia: “War is, to me, an absolutely unimaginable nonsense, and Ukrainians are an incredibly brave and courageous nation fighting also for our safety and comfort. I am grateful to be part of a concert that truly matters. Come to the square and, together with us, show that we stand with Ukraine.”
The symbolic opening of the concert will belong to children from the Bratislava Old Town choir Sirénčatá under the direction of Ukrainian conductor Oleksadra Diachenko and conductor Lukáš Kunst.
“Standing on the side of those attacked by an aggressor is an expression of basic humanity. Slovakia is going through an extremely embarrassing period on the international stage, as its leaders push it toward the company of so-called rogue states. This is also reflected in the currently prepared shameful lawsuit against the European Union, which seeks to stop Russia’s aggression partly by no longer paying for its raw materials. That is why it is important to show that most people in Slovakia have their hearts — and their minds — in the right place. I believe many of us will gather in the square to show support for the brave people of Ukraine, who have been heroically fighting for our freedom for four long years,” adds Michal Kaščák from Pohoda, which co-organizes the concert together with BKIS.
The Concert for Ukraine will begin on Sunday, February 22 at 19:00 at Bratislava’s Main Square and will be hosted by Martin Staňo. The event is held under the patronage of Bratislava Mayor Matúš Vallo. Admission is free.
The event is organized by Pohoda Festival and the Bratislava Cultural and Information Centre.

У неділю, 22 лютого, ми знову зберемося на Головній площі Братислави на Концерті для України. Цього року його підтримають бельгійсько-канадський продюсер Apashe, українська співачка Аліна Паш, словацька співачка Katarzia та дитячий хор Sirénčatá. Символічно, що на одній сцені зустрінуться міжнародна та словацька сцени, всесвітньо відомі артисти й голоси наймолодшого покоління. Початок концерту о 19:00, вхід вільний.
Аліна Паш приходить на Концерт для України не лише як артистка, а й як жінка з країни, яка вже чотири роки бореться за свою свободу: «Я приїжджаю не лише як артистка, а як українка, чия країна щодня продовжує боротися за свободу і право жити в мирі. Для мене виступ на Головній площі — це спосіб сказати: ми досі тут, ми досі люди, і ми досі віримо у світло навіть у темні часи. Музика не може зупинити війну. Але вона може об’єднувати людей. Вона може нагадувати нам, що свободу, гідність і співчуття ми повинні захищати разом. Я глибоко вдячна Словаччині за підтримку України. Її видно і відчутно. І коли ми зберемося в серці Братислави, це буде більше, ніж концерт — це буде момент єдності, сили та спільної людяності.»
Apashe — одна з найяскравіших постатей сучасної електронної сцени. Він відомий своїм «величним» звучанням, у якому поєднує електроніку, хіп-хоп та оркестрові елементи у потужний музичний досвід із виразною візуальною складовою. Він виступав на найбільших світових фестивалях, а його музика звучала у фільмах, відеоіграх та рекламних кампаніях світових брендів. З Аліною Паш його поєднують і спільні композиції, зокрема пісня Kyiv, кліп до якої був знятий безпосередньо в обстрілюваному місті. Apashe представить особливий виступ разом із вокалістом Wasiu та Аліною Паш.
Словаччину на концерті представить співачка й авторка пісень Katarzia: «Війна для мене — це абсолютно немислимий абсурд, а українці — неймовірно відважний народ, який бореться також за нашу безпеку і комфорт. Я вдячна, що можу бути частиною концерту, який має справжній сенс. Приходьте на площу і разом з нами покажіть, що ми підтримуємо Україну.»
Символічний початок концерту забезпечать діти зі староміського братиславського хору Sirénčatá під керівництвом української диригентки Олександри Дяченко та диригента Лукаша Кунста.
«Стояти на боці тих, на кого напав агресор, — це прояв елементарної людяності. Вірю, що на площі збереться багато людей, щоб підтримати мужній народ України, який уже чотири роки героїчно бореться і за нашу свободу», — додає Міхал Кащак із фестивалю Pohoda, який організовує концерт разом із BKIS.
Концерт для України розпочнеться у неділю, 22 лютого, о 19:00 на Головній площі Братислави. Ведучий — Мартін Станьо. Захід проходить під патронатом мера Братислави Матуша Валло. Вхід вільний.
