A Return of Legends: The Chemical Brothers Are the Next Headliner of Pohoda 2027
The legendary Chemical Brothers are the second name announced for Pohoda 2027. One of the most important duos in electronic music returns to Pohoda after nine years to follow up on their phenomenal performance at Pohoda 2018. Those who were there know what to look forward to. Those who missed it get a second chance. On Saturday 10 July at midnight, they will close the Zlatý Bažant Stage programme with a 90-minute set.

Electronic Icons Who Turn Concerts into a Sensory Experience
Tom Rowlands and Ed Simons have been shaping electronic music since the mid-1990s. They went from underground DJs to pioneers of the electronic scene, pushing the limits of how a live show can look and sound. Their concerts are not just a presentation of music. They are a complete audiovisual experience in which massive sound, hypnotic rhythms and psychedelic visuals merge into one gripping whole.
After their Glastonbury 2019 performance, the British magazine NME wrote that “there is no greater live dance act in the world right now”. From Block Rockin’ Beats to Go
The Chemical Brothers’ discography is full of tracks that broke out of the club scene and became generational anthems. Their biggest hits include Galvanize, Block Rockin’ Beats, Hey Boy Hey Girl, Do It Again, Out Of Control, Wide Open and Got to Keep On. Their work has earned the duo multiple Grammy Awards and BRIT Awards. Remarkably, their first Grammy came in a rock category, for the groundbreaking hit “Block Rockin’ Beats”. They have also sold more than 21 million physical records and scored six UK number one albums.
Their most recent album, For That Beautiful Feeling (2023), shows they haven’t lost any momentum. The Guardian called it “pure techno pleasure”, and Rolling Stone said the “electro pioneers remain at the top of the game”. The Quietus added that “after the best part of 30 years, there’s still no one else like them”. In 2026, their track Go was back in the international spotlight thanks to the Netflix film Apex, ten years after its original release.
A Return Worth the Wait
At Pohoda 2018, The Chemical Brothers gave a performance that stayed in the memories of many festivalgoers. Nine years later, they are coming back to Slovakia. Get ready for 90 minutes of pulsating beats, monumental visuals and moments when the whole festival site turns into one big dance floor.
“The Chemical Brothers are such a fundamental name in electronic music that I knew we had to bring them back to Pohoda at some point. I’m glad we’ve managed to do it in 2027. The Chemical Brothers will close the main programme of the 31st Pohoda,” says festival director Michal Kaščák.
