Workshop Trenčín 2026: Make Your Own Upcycled Fashion Accessories from Terry Towels

This workshop by the Sustainable Fashion Laboratory offers a simple and practical introduction to textile upcycling. Everyone who takes part can contribute, in a small way, to the change the fashion industry needs.

In collaboration with Textile House, participants will transform used towels and bathrobes into new wearable pieces – terry cloth hats, bags, and shorts. The workshop focuses on working with existing material, experimenting with shape, volume, and function, and finding new ways to use textiles that have already served their original purpose.

Visitors can take home the garments and accessories they create and put them to use right away in the festival setting.

Ateliéry zvedavosti Trenčín 2026 brings a space for creating, relaxing, and playful discovery to Pohoda. Visitors of all ages will be able to try creative workshops focused on sustainability, upcycling, and new ways of using materials that would otherwise end up as waste.

Besides the workshops, the zone will also offer interactive activities for children and adults alike, combining relaxation, play, and shared experience. It will feature an unconventional interactive musical instrument made from PVC piping, inviting spontaneous exploration of sounds and rhythms and communal music-making regardless of age or musical experience.

There will also be a large collaborative coloring mural that will gradually take shape over the course of the festival, as well as interactive furniture for relaxing, playing, and gathering. In this way, Ateliéry zvedavosti will create a place where creativity connects with community, playfulness, and a sustainable approach to both materials and shared space.
