In recent years, we have seen how AI started to change our lives. However, this is only a glimpse of what lies ahead. Many fundamental changes are already beginning to unfold, and others can be anticipated. We will discuss them in an interactive session with guests directly from the field. Mgr. Maroš Žofčin is a journalist at the Živé.sk portal, where he has been writing since 2010. His main focus is on information technology, digital trends, and artificial intelligence, as well as scientific topics including space and robotics. Since 2020, he has been the voice of the tech podcast Share, where he discusses current topics from the world of technology and science with various guests.
Astrophysicist Mgr. Žofia Chrobáková, PhD. is currently a postdoctoral researcher at Mullard Space Science Laboratory (University College London). Her research focuses on studying the Milky Way and external galaxies using AI methods.
Doc. Michal Valko, PhD. holds the position of the head of language models at an AI-focused startup. He previously worked at Google DeepMind, where he contributed to the development of language models, and later at Meta as the lead engineer for the LLaMA model. He is a permanent researcher at the Inria institute and lectures at ENS Paris-Saclay.
Prof. Ing. Mária Bieliková, PhD. is an internationally recognized AI expert focused on the research of human-computer interaction and personalization. A former dean of the Faculty of Informatics and Information Technologies at the Slovak University of Technology (2015–2019), she founded and has led the Kempelen Institute of Intelligent Technologies (KInIT) since 2020. The institute connects research with industry and is active in the Hopero hub. She is the chair of the Standing Committee of the Ministry of Investments, Regional Development and Informatization (MIRRI) on AI ethics and regulation and has served in expert bodies of the European Commission on AI.
