We are living longer than ever before. Longer lives offer more time for relationships, personal growth and new beginnings, but they also bring new challenges for healthcare systems, economies and society as a whole. The real question is not only how long we live, but how we live those years – in good health, with dignity and a sense of purpose.

This discussion will explore how our understanding of ageing is changing, the importance of solidarity between generations, and what we can do to ensure that longer lives become an opportunity rather than a burden.
