The 30th anniversary edition of Pohoda will also feature a band that has been one of the most distinctive voices of the Slovak punk scene for over two decades. RozpoR return to Trenčín Airport with their direct, energetic, and uncompromising live show.
Formed in Bratislava in 1999, the four-piece has released eight studio albums and played hundreds of concerts in Slovakia, Czechia, and many other European countries. Their performances are known for their intense atmosphere, strong connection with the audience, and clearly articulated stance on social and political issues.
RozpoR have long been associated with a strong anti-fascist position, an active civic approach, and involvement in benefit activities. During the refugee crisis in 2015, they played a solidarity concert in a refugee camp in Vienna, followed by a series of shows in Roma settlements in eastern Slovakia under the title Radically Human Tour. This project was also documented in a film by director Edo Cicha. They have performed at Pohoda several times and supported the festival’s benefit and charity events, including the Concert for the Attentive and last year’s Concert for Ukraine.
“What I like about punk is when it’s not a pose but a genuine attitude. And that’s exactly what I like about the guys from RozpoR – they don’t pretend to be anything, and their lyrics hit the nail on the head. They can speak to your soul even between songs, and sometimes they don’t need long speeches. Three words are enough to say it all. Come see their show at Pohoda 2026 and you’ll understand,” recommends this punk powerhouse Lukáš Grešš from the Pohoda team.
Their work also reflects current events visually. The music video for the song Víťazi, directed by Dominik Jursa, is dedicated to the defenders of Ukraine against Russian aggression. Last year, the band also presented, with humour and perspective, a short documentary titled “RozpoRuplná plavba Kapitána Koka”, offering a behind-the-scenes look at the band from the unusual setting of a sea voyage.
RozpoR bring to Pohoda energy, straightforwardness, and a concert that is as much a musical experience as it is a clear expression of attitude. We are happy to have them as part of the programme for the 30th edition of Pohoda.
