Longital SK
Bratislava-based band Longital will perform at Pohoda 2026, celebrating 25 years on the music scene. The genre-defying travellers and founders of the independent label Slnko Records will bring a special concert format titled Suita, performed together with a string trio.
Longital are known for their distinctive combination of poetic lyrics, Shina’s charismatic vocals, bowed bass lines and the unmistakable guitar work of Dano Salontay. Their music moves freely between alternative rock, folk, experimentation and intimate songwriting.
The band has been connected with Pohoda since the festival’s early years. Their first appearance took place in 2001 under their original name Dlhé Diely at the former venue beneath Sokolice hill. Later that same year they released their debut albums September and Šinadisk, starting a musical journey that continues to this day.
Over the years, Longital have performed across Europe as well as in the USA and Canada, including appearances at the renowned South by Southwest in Austin. They have also toured with The Frames and the project The Swell Season, led by Glen Hansard and Markéta Irglová.
At the anniversary edition of Pohoda, Longital will present a selection from their extensive catalogue, including songs from their recently released fourteenth studio album Krajina beží dolu vlastným brehom. Returning to Trenčín after some time, the band will bring a performance that blends their characteristic intimacy with rich string arrangements.
