This fast-rising punk band from New York is known for its wild live shows. Brooklyn-based female quartet cumgirl8 formed in 2019 and mixes post-punk, riot grrrl, experimental, dance, and rock'n'roll. Hero Magazine wrote about them, "Cumgirl8 feels like going back in time and catapulting to the year 2040 all at once. It’s a heady, latex-clad future nostalgia that’s part dial-up chatroom, part pioneering punk, and three parts sex-positive dream girl from outer-space.”
Their debut EP RIPcumgirl8 was released during the Lockdown era. In it, the band extends their extremely well-thought-out mission of inclusivity and free speech to everything from exclusive merchandise designs to their top-notch YouTube series The 1-900 — a quarantine video diary that ranges from playing party games with fellow musicians to talking about porn.
They were recommended to us at Pohoda by the same agent who recommended Pussy Riot. "Enthralling energy, a great dose of provocation, and allegedly one member from Slovakia, all this is the American band Cumgirl8. It will be an extraordinary experience," Michal Kaščák is looking forward to the band.
