Pohoda 2026 will welcome American musician, producer and composer Adrian Quesada, co-founder, guitarist and producer of the outstanding band Black Pumas. He will arrive at Trenčín Airport with his musical project Adrian Quesada’s Trio Asesino.
Quesada stands among the most distinctive voices in contemporary music at the crossroads of soul, psychedelia and Latin traditions. At Trenčín Airport he will present his own work, where the romance of vintage Latin ballads meets cinematic atmosphere, hip-hop aesthetics and modern production.
A lifelong Texan, Quesada has produced and performed across a wide spectrum of genres—from funk and soul to diverse strands of Latin music. In 2022 he released two solo albums: Boleros Psicodélicos, a collaborative record reviving the sound and spirit of 1960s–70s Latin romantic ballads, and Jaguar Sound, an instrumental homage to his foundational inspirations in hip-hop and film scores. He now follows up with Boleros Psicodélicos II, a deeply personal yet communal album combining original compositions with reimagined classics and introducing this enduring subgenre to a new generation of listeners.
Quesada is also a sought-after collaborator and producer, having worked with artists such as Prince, Los Lobos and Wu-Tang Clan’s GZA, and performed in bands including Grupo Fantasma, Brownout and Ocote Soul Sounds. Alongside his recording and touring work, he has increasingly moved into film and television: in 2025 he received an Academy Award nomination for Best Original Song for “Like a Bird” from the film Sing Sing. His music naturally bridges the concert stage and the cinematic imagination.
At Pohoda 2026, audiences will encounter an artist who connects continents and decades of musical history—from psychedelic soul through Latin boleros to the cinematic sound of today.
