The Wilderness will prove at Pohoda 2026 that punk is still alive
At Pohoda, you can once again enjoy a concert by one of the most essential bands of the Slovak punk scene. The Wilderness are among the artists proving that punk, in its best form, is far from dead. At Pohoda 2026, we will get to experience Denis Bango twice. Not only on Wednesday right before The Cure’s concert, where he will perform with his project Denis Bango hrá Fvck_Kvlt, but also during the festival itself, where he will appear with his “home” band.

The Wilderness is a DIY hardcore/punk band from Trnava, active since 2011. The band is also known for its strong engagement – they organize shows for other punk bands from around the world under the banner of the Consume and die! crew collective.
The lyrics of The Wilderness often touch on political, religious, and socially critical themes while also reflecting philosophical and moral dilemmas. This contrast in content, combined with their raw and distinctive sound, has led reviewers to describe them as a “punk onslaught without clichés or childish talk.”
Their video for the song Čo s tým hnevom, partly filmed at Pohoda 2018, was named Video of the Year by the Slovak music portal Hudba.sk. All the more reason to look forward to what might emerge at Pohoda 2026. In the hands of The Wilderness, it will certainly be a punk explosion. And perhaps even another music video…
The 30th edition of Pohoda will feature performances by The Cure, Gorillaz, The Prodigy, Lykke Li, IDLES, Denzel Curry, Oliver Tree, Baxter Dury, Apashe & Brass Orchestra, Para, Gleb, Denis Bango, and many more.
