Júlia Kozáková to perform her award-winning Manuša II project at Pohoda 2026
Júlia Kozáková will also perform at Pohoda 2026 with her exceptional project Manuša II. Together with a cimbalom band made up of outstanding and respected Romani musicians, she will bring an emotionally powerful concert to Trenčín Airport — blending joy, tradition, intimacy and vibrant collective energy.
12. May 2026
The MANUŠA project was born out of a deep love for Romani music and a desire to share its emotional depth and beauty with wider audiences. Júlia Kozáková’s music sensitively connects authentic Romani traditions with her own songwriting approach, creating a compelling musical experience balancing intimacy and spontaneity.
Following the success of her debut album Manuša (2022), which received the Radio_Head Award for Best Slovak World Music Album, Júlia returned with Manuša II in 2025, released by the German world music label CPL Music. The album marks a significant artistic progression — both vocally and compositionally. Manuša II also made history as the first Slovak album ever to reach No. 1 in the prestigious World Music Charts Europe ranking.
MANUŠA has already performed at festivals and venues across fifteen European countries, including the renowned WOMEX showcase, and today stands among the remarkable contemporary projects of the European world music scene.
“MANUŠA means people in the Romani language. While the driving force behind the first album was human equality, the second album is driven by joy. This music is soaked in it. Naturally, it became part of the repertoire selection and the ideas behind many of the songs. I truly hope this album brings joy into many of your days. Simple, ordinary, everyday joy. Quiet and wild. The kind of joy that moves you,” says Júlia Kozáková.
Pohoda 2026 will feature performances by The Cure, Gorillaz, The Prodigy, Lykke Li, Denzel Curry, IDLES, Oliver Tree, Apashe & Brass Orchestra, Action Bronson, Emilíana Torrini, Baxter Dury, and many more.
The festival is already sold out; only a limited number of 4-day passes remain.
One-day tickets for THE CURE Extra Day are still available.
Pohoda Festival will take place on July 8 & July 9–11, 2026, at Trenčín Airport.
