Songs About the JOBUS Books Live at Pohoda 2025

Jobusovky is a project by Braňo Jobus that brings together his two worlds – storytelling and music. And they go together beautifully. You can experience his fairy-tale books for both young and adult readers combined with real, authentic rock sounds live on Saturday in the Family Park at Pohoda.

Braňo Jobus has this to say about his latest creation, which he’ll be presenting at Pohoda 2025:

“Dear friends,

In 2025 I’ll be celebrating a wonderful 20 years of sobriety, freedom, and a truly beautiful life in which I love making dreams come true – both my own and those of others. The time has come to pay tribute to this incredible chapter of my life, when I finally found the courage to follow my dreams in both books and music. That’s exactly like Mouflon Ancijáš, one of my most popular characters, does it. And since I’ve published 25 titles during this period and over 150,000 books have been sold, I allowed myself to choose 10 of these titles. For each of them, we created a song about the world of Jobus’s books, and I combined 10 characters from these stories into one fairy tale. You can not only read this story, but also listen to it as a radio play, which I personally recorded and narrated.

In 2024, together with Filip Hittrich (who worked with our Danko Heriban), I carefully selected and reworked the songs to create this lovely little collection: JOBUSOVKY 10 songs + 1 fairy tale. Oh, and before I forget—one of the songs is even a rock remake of the finale from the opera Mouflon Ancijáš, which we’ve been performing for the second season now in the main hall of the Slovak National Theatre.

I'm truly excited about this, and I believe that the project will bring joy not only to many children but also to their parents.
