This year, the Martinus Literary Tent will once again welcome both local and international literary stars. Among them will be the Irish novelist John Boyne, author of the bestselling book The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas. Suffering, tyranny, and the deep pain caused by abuse – difficult themes to read about, but ones that are socially important. Author John Boyne has been known for tackling such subjects ever since The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas, and continues to do so in his latest tetralogy, The Elements. The connection between Urpiner beer and Pohoda is coming to an end after nine festival years. Our journey started at Pohoda 2016, together we have gone through joyful and strong years, but also through a pandemic period and the demanding year of 2024. It has been an extremely enjoyable and professional collaboration throughout, as evidenced by the strong friendships between the members of our teams, as well as the fact that we are saying goodbye and wishing each other nothing but the best.
