Rob Garza and Eric Hilton formed Thievery Corporation in 1995 and their debut album "Sounds from the Thievery Hi-Fi" (1996), along with "The Mirror Conspiracy" (2000) and the compilation "DJ-Kicks" have become classics in the realm of downtempo and lounge music.In their music, they effortlessly blend dub, Brazilian beats, reggae, bossa nova, hip-hop, and electronica, while also incorporating trip-hop, world music, and various other styles. Their albums have featured big names such as David Byrne, Perry Farrell, Emiliana Torrini, and even The Flaming Lips.
